We are wrapping up our final day here at Summit and we all have mixed feelings about it. God has been doing some pretty sweet things in everyones life this week and we are so thankful for this space to have that.
The students will be heading to their cabins soon to clean and pack up all of their stuff. We will head to dinner and then our last large group!
It really has been an amazing week and we couldn’t have gotten anymore perfect weather for it! PTL (Praise The Lord)!
We will see you early tomorrow morning and I will send out a Remind for our ETA at CPC.
Check out photos below from the week!
Today has been a pretty epic day! We split everyone into 4 teams and they had time to come up with a team cheer and get some team spirit going. Each team then battled each other in various events such as, inner tube relay, bat spin relay, hula hoop relay, tarp pull relay and a tug o war in a mud pit! They were then surprised by a fire truck from the local station who brought 1000 gallons of water and sprayed everyone off. We all felt like kids again!
We are currently in the free time part of our schedule and kids seem to be really enjoying themselves. Tonight we will hear from our camp speaker Trevor as he talks through the question of, “Why does Jesus matter”? Our leaders and fellow staff at camp will then close out large group with some Card Board Testimonies. This allows us to share a lot of stories in a unique way to hopefully put verbiage to some of the things our students are going through.
We will end the night with our silent dance party! This is a favorite thing for students how have come on Summit and a fun surprise for those who will experience it for the first time ever tonight!
The cabin leaders are crushing it this week, hanging out with high schoolers 24/7 isn’t always easy and they are loving these kids so well!

Hello from Summit!
It is day 3 here and it is a balmy 83 degrees. Students are outside playing beach volleyball, enjoying the slip n slide, making friendship bracelets, banana boating, hanging in hammocks and beginning one on ones with their cabin leaders.
It is encouraging to look out at camp and see these sweet moments happening between student and leader. Getting the opportunity to sit and listen to what these students are processing is a real honor.
We had a lip sync battle earlier today, the grades were all mixed up into teams and every single one was AMAZING! It was sweet to see everyone singing, clapping and laughing together.
Tonight we will enjoy another large group and then the night will end with a fireside concert from our band and a…. shhhhhhh…. surprise pizza delivery from their leaders!

Hello friends and family!
I apologize for the late blog entry here! We have been very busy having fun and making sure everything is running smoothly!
Leaders and students are having a lot of fun! We have had cabins go paint balling, tackling a high ropes course, a water slide and a lot of blobbing! We have had two beautiful days here so far and I pray we continue to have that.
Large group has been a sweet space for all the student sot sing together, laugh together and hear the good news go the gospel together.
I am typing this before our event tonight (Thursday) we will be sending the cabins and their leaders through an obstacle course and ending with a night ride down the big water slide here!
Here are some pictures from today and I will be sure to check in tomorrow!
